Caerwyn Evans

Caerwyn embarked on his tennis journey as part of Western Australia’s state-grade elite junior program, delving into competitive play at just 12 years old. In 2005, Caerwyn began teaching at The Reserve Club in Indian Wells. His passion for coaching extended to nurturing young talent through the National Junior Tennis and Learning program (NJTL), impacting underprivileged kids. Caerwyn achieved a coaching milestone in 2009, guiding the Palm Desert High School Girls Tennis Team to a CIF Championship victory. As a Certified as a USPTA P1 Professional, PTR Professional, PTR 10&Under Professional, and Cardio Tennis Authorized Provider, Caerwyn also oversees the George Anich Senior Cup and the country’s largest adult amateur tennis tournament, the World Tennis Classic.

Siggy Menzel

Siggy Menzel

Born in the paradise of Tahiti, Siggy’s family moved him to the bustling Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia where he went to school and fell in love with tennis. In 2014, his passion for the sport led him to Palm Desert, where he was invited to compete for College of the Desert, one of California’s leading junior Colleges, and forged a lasting connection with Caerwyn Evans at Shadow Mountain.

During his time in the desert, Siggy excelled on the court while earning his degree in Exercise Science. His academic and athletic pursuits eventually took him to Augusta, GA, where he began his own coaching career in 2018.

In 2021, Siggy returned to Shadow Mountain Resort & Club, accepting the role of Head Tennis Professional with the WynTennis Academy. He is a certified USPTA Professional and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and brings a wealth of knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm to our tennis community.

Siggy Menzel

Roy Cosio

Roy Cosio

Roy is a USPTA pro who taught at Acuna-Victorero Tennis Academy and Las Terrazas Tennis Club in Lima, Peru. He also worked at Ocean Village Tennis Camp in Fort Pierce, Fla.; Santa Clara Tennis Center in Santa Clara, CA; The Tennis Doctors in San Jose, CA.; Clubsport of San Ramon, CA, which twice honored him with a Quality Service Award; and Lifetime Tennis Inc. at Cupertino Sports Center in Cupertino, CA, where he was elected “Pro of the Year” in 1999.

In March 2008, Roy moved back to California forming “INKAlifornia Tennis” where he was an independent contractor as a Tennis Director in Millenium Sports Club in El Dorado County in the Cameron Park Lake facility. In 2010 Roy started to work in S.F. Bay Area, this time back with Lifetime Tennis Inc. in a new contract with the city of Walnut Creek. His position as tennis director let him create the path of learning of many students in the area. From 2011-2014, living again in Felton (near Santa Cruz) Roy joined the pro team at La Madrona Swim and Racket Club in Santa Cruz, CA, where he offered his services as a junior program director. Roy is a big believer o the TAU system and his program has thrived from kids loving the full interaction of the activities.
